In 2023 we are placing a focus on our Dark Moon Circle, which was essentially a closed circle for the core members, but we have decided to open it up to newbies who are looking for something in-depth and are willing to commit themselves to the process. We will be conducting the Dark Moon Circle on Friday nights at a hall in Bangor (southern Sydney, Australia). For those who would like to join the Dark Moon but are unable to attend due to location or work issues we may also run a regular monthly Zoom circle, depending on numbers.

The Dark Moon Circle provides a platform for sharing craft-related experiences, working together to raise energy for magic, group meditations, spiritual growth, and enlightenment. The Dark Moon Circle is a journey where we learn to walk between the worlds at will. We learn to face our shadow self and in the process find healing and spiritual progression for ourselves. In 2023 we will be working with Dark Goddesses and liminal spaces.

The Dragon Path Of Ynys Witrin

From its inception Spheres Of Light has had a strong connection to the mysteries of Avalon. The Dragon energy has always been an intrinsic part of the Avalon energy, it is also an energy that has played an important role in Spheres Of Light from its conception. The dragons are our guardians and mentors and have taken an active interest in guiding, participating and overseeing our full and dark moon circles.

Our Dark Moon Circle is known as the Dragon Path of Ynys Witrin. Ynys Witrin was the ancient Celtic name for the Tor at Glastonbury, it means the ‘Isle of Glass’ or the ‘Isle of Seeing’ and legend has it that it was the entrance to the Otherworlds. This Isle of Seeing also acts as a mirror, which enables seekers to look deep within their soul, and see their true reflection.

The Dark Moon circle is a group of like-minded people who come together with the understanding that there is strength in numbers and any organization is only as strong as its weakest link. Most of all, it is a “group mind”. Ideally, we are a group of people who have worked hard to achieve rapport so that the focus and flow of every ritual comes naturally to the entire group.

The Dark Moon Circle is a place for people who have their personal problems under control or who are earnestly working through them. We are not a support group and we are not equipped to handle on-going personal problems. While we can be supportive of members going through a crisis, personal problems are ultimately the responsibility of the individual and their issues should not be disruptive to our members and circle activities.
