MORGANA or Morgan Le Fay -- She is a fairy queen and is much associated with Avalon. Morgana may originally have been a Sea-Goddess. She is one of the Triple Goddesses, usually related to the Death or Crone aspect because of her dark power and attempts to kill Arthur. She is a Goddess of the ending of cycles, but also beginnings, for even though she keeps trying to kill Arthur, she takes him to Avalon to be healed.
