Crystals ~ Rose Quartz

Rose Quartz has been a crystal that I have forgotten to work with for a while. The opportunity presented itself via an angel meditation I am working on.
Rose Quartz is a pale to rich pink translucent crystal.
It is a stone of emotional healing, especially matters of the heart and is referred to as the 'Stone of Love'.
It is a stone of unconditional love, allowing for acceptance of self and others. It opens up our heart to love, in all forms, mental, physical and spiritual, bringing with it an inner peace to our being.
Its gentle vibration makes it a good stone to place at home or the work place where disharmony is evident. It purifies the environment of all negativity.
Rose Quartz attunement to love makes it a good stone to use in love spells or rituals:
- Self love and worth (therefore worth love)
- attract a partner
- fertility
- marriage
Wear Rose Quartz as a piece of jewellery, especially in a heart shape close to heart centre to give you a sense of self worth. Its gentle vibration assists in dissolving blockages to love.
To attract a partner or give your marriage more spark place a large piece of Rose Quartz in the bedroom to encourage more intimacy.
Another way to bring love into your scope is to take a ritual bath using the crystal. Cleanse the crystal first and place it in the water, add a few drops of rose oil. The combined energies will uplift your spirit. Afterwards place the stone under your pillow to strengthen it effects.
Rose oil is very valuable for healing the heart physically and emotionally. It is referred to as the Queen of the essential oils.
Our body brings to our attention that something is wrong by way of pain. The positions are indicative of what area in our lives we need to bring back into balance. As mentioned earlier Rose quartz on the heart area is beneficial but other parts will benefit also through it purifying properties:
- Circulatory system benefits due to its calming affect bringing your stress level down.
- Encourages the removal of toxins from the blood.
- If laid directly on the thymus, it promotes the healing of the chest and lungs.
- Aid the proper functioning of the kidneys, adrenals, genitals, liver.
One can place the crystal directly on the area to relieve the pain or if you need to use it internally, an elixir is recommended. We know that drinking water is very beneficial so why not add a crystal to your water container for that extra help. The water that has been infused with the Rose Quartz can also soothe burns and blistering.
It also helps as a rejuvenator to the skin giving you a soft completion and keeping the skin looking younger. A lot of sites have attributed rose quartz to prevent or at least minimize wrinkles. So charge your water with Rose Quartz to experience an internal and external youthness.
Rose quartz projects pure love, unconditionally therefore it aids in the treatment of depression and weight loss. It's through love of self that one can move beyond these limitations.
Rose Quartz is associated with the Greek Goddess Aphrodite (Venus, to the Romans) and also Kuan Yin
It has the effect of drawing love into one's life as Aphrodite can draw love, passion and beauty into life. Honour her and ask for her intercession in your life by using a rose quartz on your alter. With it, use candles of red and pink.
Kuan Yin is the Chinese Goddess of Mercy and a great healer. She is revered today in many parts of the world as the Goddess of Unconditional Love, Compassion and Mercy. She is a protector of women and children. She is also a granter of wishes, and in particular, grants children to those women who desire them. She can heal those sick in the heart and body.
The darker half of the year is encroaching upon us. Keep a piece of rose quartz at hand to assist you in seeing past all that is dark in your life. Let the pure unconditional love shine through gently empowering you with its love.
